Unlike other floating villages in Siem Reap, Kampong Khleang is a destination that still maintains a good representation of the local way of life and allows you to enjoy a wonderful day on the shore of the lake.
Kampong Khleang is located about 50 km from Siem Reap town, It has the advantage of being the least visited floating village by tourists who are visiting the area. It is the furthest floating town from Siem Reap, so it’s a little-frequented place, and it’s worth the effort to go.
The truth is that it is a nice walk, refreshing and in which you can interact with the local people. You also can sail through the villages on stilts to see the buildings and the inhabitants were very friendly. On the other hand, it was also able to see the floating town up close and see the children go to school by boat and something unique.

What to see at Kampong Khleang
It is estimated that about 14,000 people live in the village. In addition to seeing the floating town, you can visit the artisan center which was in full swing. Upon reaching the town, take a small boat through the area, introducing to the heart of the floating houses.
